Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Procurement Head to lead our quantity surveying and procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing tender documents, conducting site visits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Additionally, the candidate will oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts with suppliers.

Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flows

  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and identify potential cost risks

  • Prepare and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers

  • Manage and analyze project costs, identifying areas for savings and optimization

Procurement:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans

  • Source and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting due diligence and risk assessments

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Manage the procurement process, from requisition to payment

Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors and procurement professionals

  • Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support

  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project success

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field

  • Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, COREN)

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying and procurement

  • Proven track record of success in managing projects and teams

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, laws, and regulations

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines
